Notice of Right to Opt Out of Sale of Info

For California Residents Only

Effective Date: January 1, 2020

If you are a California resident, starting January 1, 2020, you have a right to opt out of the sale of your personal information, as defined in the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018, Civil Code §1798.100 et seq. (CCPA).  This Notice is to provide you with information regarding this opt-out right. All terms are used in this Notice as defined in the CCPA or applicable regulations thereunder.

You may exercise your opt-out right by submitting your request here.  You may also submit an opt-out request by mail addressed to ChatThreads Corporation dba Purchased 31 St. James Avenue, 6th Floor Boston, MA 02116, Attn: California Privacy Rights.

You may use an authorized agent to exercise your right to opt-out, in which event the authorized agent’s request to opt out on your behalf shall include a notarized statement properly signed by you appointing such authorized agent for such purpose.  If your authorized agent submits the opt-out request online via the link above, the notarized statement shall be mailed to the address specified above within five (5) days after submitting such online request.

Under the CCPA, the “sale” of personal information may include any communication of personal information to any third party for monetary or other valuable consideration, with certain exceptions and limitations.  In some cases, it may not be feasible for us to provide our reward program(s) to you if you exercise your right to opt-out of the sale of personal information. Therefore, if you or your authorized agent submits an opt-out request with respect to the sale of your personal information under the CCPA as provided in this Notice, and we reasonably believe that it would prevent us from providing our reward program(s) to you, we will notify you and give you the option to close your account(s).  Closing your account(s) would generally discontinue communication of your personal information to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration, other than as may be permitted by the CCPA.
